The dolt is a cross platform HTML preprocessor, it is used to replace specially formatted HTML comments with the contents of another file. This lets you, for example, have the same menu on every page and update it by changing just one file. The dolt gives you the main benefit of frames but without problems.

SimpleSite is a set of scripts to generate a complete website out of a data structure (defining the content) and a theme structure defining the look of the generated site. The goal of this is to give the website a consistent look while remaining easily maintainable at the same time. Andi's Smart-Insert works like other so-called 'footer-scripts' and inserts the content of a text file into a specified place on your html files. This is very good for headers, footers, etc. which appear on multiple Pages. You can change them by changing only on file. But in addition it allows you to insert multiple external files in your pages by using only one script.

EditTag is a script which facilitates website content management. EditTag allows users to edit pages using a web interface, but restricts editing to specific tagged areas of the document. Individual Home Page is a system that serves a cgi-generated (home)page that can be configured by the user. The user can select options in a form. Users having no personal preferences, will be sent to a default page, defined by the contents webmaster. Default and user defined pages are generated by cgi using Perl. Yet the contents webmaster (the person who is responsible for the contents of the site) does not need knowledge of Perl or cgi. External files (snippets with pieces of contents, and configuration files) are used to read the contents and to configure the script. The contents webmaster does need knowledge of HTML, since WYSIWYG-editors usually cannot produce split up pages.
