   Sympoll  

Sympoll is a customizable voting booth system written in PHP. It currently requires access to a MySQL database, though I hope to eliminate this requirement in a future release. Polls can be embedded into a PHP or SHTML webpage, and any number of polls can concurrently exist. Sympoll aims to be flexible and robust, and yet still easy to install and administer. When you decide to disable a poll, you have the choice of leaving the results available to web surfers, or hidden from everybody except administraters. And of course closed polls can be re-opened to allow more voting. Sympoll also lets you choose whether each poll will allow the voter to pick only one option, or whether it will let the voter pick multiple simultaneous options. Furthermore, you can prevent users from voting multiple times by using server-side IP logging, client-side cookies, both, or neither. And of course colors and fonts are customizable. This is all done via a simple web-based administration interface.
