   EasyLinks  

EasyLinks is a very easy and customizable Links4all script, you can use it to create links of the day pages or shared bookmarks of you and your friends. EasyLinks displays the links in categories, that you define. You can select the category either from a dropdown menu, or by textlinks. Each category has a "add your link" button which allows users to add their own resources. Users can select between a brief display, of just the link names or a display with details. The script can be customized with own parts of html containing variables that will later on be replaced by the real data. The owner is able to define which navigational segments to display and which not. Furthermore there is a password protected admin section, which allows you to alter and delete the links that were entered.

   The Bunghole  

Bunghole is a category index of links that have to do with heavy metal bands. As to show my support to the Open Source community, it's code has gone public. It is a link indexing system with no sub-categories. Links can be viewed sorted in many ways, has a voting system (listed sites can be rated from their sites as well) that blocks double-voting.

   simplelinXml  

simplelinXml is a script to offer cool-links in categories and subcategories; no database required; uses normal unix flatfiles and directories; uses XML as data-format for your links, so you can use them later on with other tools ; needs a PHP-enabled webspace.

   WSN Links  

Allows users to suggest links and categories, which are either displayed immediately or added to a queue where the administrator must approve them, depending on which setting the administrator prefers. Submitter can choose to be auto-notified via e-mail when link is approved, and admin can choose to be notified of submissions. Users can cast votes to rate the value of links, sort links, and search for keywords in links. Reciprocal links are tracked and displayed separately so they can be given priority position. Admin interface (with cookie-based login) allows easy searching and editing/deletion of links and categories, advanced queries, and template editing. Checks for dead links and duplicate links, and verifies the link partners are still linking linking back.

This script uses PEAR for database independence. It displays links and categories in a yahoo like style. Users can add links, administrators can add links or remove them. Functions exist to allow adding and removing categories, but there is no interface for this. Categories can be infinately deep, a trail will lead back from any category to the 'Top' category.
