JMK Image Counter is a PHP hits counter that works with any UNIX system that is X/Open complian (including Linux, Solaris, BeOS, FreeBSD, and many more). JMK Image Counter is called from a IMG tag, so it requires no SSI commands. It can be used for unlimited number of pages and can also be remotely hosted, which can be useful if your site doesn't support PHP itself. The counter also notifies you if any error occurs by generating an image, so no broken images will appear. Furthermore, you can use your own custom digits and it supports simultaneously many different digits, so different pages can have different digits for the counter.
