This script will allow you to run your own full-feature redirection service like the former WZR.NET was best known for. It's written in PHP and uses a flat-file database. The former WZR.NET utilized PERL with a flat-file database, and was still lightning quick with some 6,000+ members. PHP is much more efficient as it keeps it's grubby little paws out of the server's RAM. The database uses approximately one megabyte of server space per 1,000 hostnames, depending on the length of the end-users' name, real web address, email address, meta-tags [keyword, description], referral list, etc. |
