UMA is User Management and Authentication application written in PHP. UMA provides user authentication to web services. A web service, in terms of UMA, can be a simple web site, a sophisticated database-driven web application or simply one page or section of a web site. Using UMA's browser-based administrative application you setup your web services, add users, and grant access to your web services. Restricting access to some or all of your web site or application is as simple as including a PHP script at the top of your PHP script. Once a page is protected by UMA the user is presented with a simple login screen with which to authenticate. If the user has access to the web service they are attempting to authenticate they are allowed to do so. |
