Colored Grids
1. Open up your hibiscus flower in Photoshop. Duplicate the background
by right clicking on the background layer on the layers panel and
selecting duplicate layer.
2. Highlight your background copy. Click Filter=> Dragonfly=> sine
dots. Set the sinedots to Turbulence. If Turbulence is missing, use the
setting as follows:
- 1st dimension: 6.92, 4.26, 3.71, 2.73
- 2nd dimension: 5.24, 2.17, 3.57, -0.49
- Balance X= 0.5, Balance Y = 0.5, Density = 0.5
- options Check inverse.

Set the layer mode to Difference on the background copy. This will make
your image appear mostly black.

Click Edit => Fill. Set the fill to the following:
- Contents use: Pattern
- Select the pattern for your square grid, about 18 X 18 pixel square.
- Mode = Normal
- Opacity = 100%
- Preserve Transparency unchecked.
The black grid will appear white in the difference mode.
5. Click Filter=> Dragonfly => sine dots. Set the sign dots
preset to Nice and uncheck the option for inverse.
- 1st dimension: -5.09, 0.91, 3.71, 2.87
- 2nd dimension: 0.76, 1.33, -1.33, 0.91
- Balance X = 0.5, Balance Y = 0.5, Density = 0.5
- Options UNCHECKED inverse

6.
Insert a new layer by clicking the icon on the bottom of the layers panel.
While holding down simultaneously the ctrl, alt, shift key press the
letter e (ctrl alt shift E)
7. Click Filter=> Distort=> Polar coordinates.
- Set the options from polar to Rectangular
8. Click Edit => Transform=> Flip Vertical.
