My MTS Components would lock up regularly (about once a day or once a week) and It got really old 'shutting' down my components. This application is scheduled in the task manager on the server (or any machine on the network) and runs every 10 mins or so. It polls an .asp page I wrote that tests my components by simply calling ones that lock up frequently. If they all call successfully, I simply write the word "UP" to the screen (no body, html or anything) and check this in my program. If the site times out (10 secs I have default) or doesn't return 'UP' - I email myself and shutdown all packages that start with 'LGE'
