(About the author)

This code allows you to only let in a certain range of IP address to your ASP page. That way you can filter out anybody who isn't from a certain domain(s).

Heh, if the code gets a 'poor' vote leave me a comment so I can find out what is 'poor' about it and fix it if it is a problem. This worked fine for me seeing that I have no admin rights on the server to restrict domains :P

Why not use regular expression? <%@ Language=VBScript %> <% Dim myIP, rgExp myIP = Request.ServerVariables(

MoMad,
RegExp are great, but SOOOO hard to read! They're only propeller-head friendly. By using InStr, the author has ensured that even a newbie can decipher it.

This code has one flaw...
if you filter for "82.123" This will allow through both...
82.123.0.1 (Thats ok...) &
65.82.123.1 (Thats Bad...)

A better solution would be to split the ip address into 4 segements and if you are only validating the first 2 (127.0.*.*) Then only test the first two.
