     The main purpose of this article is to show the use of ActiveX controls in your web pages with proper error handling and data updates. In the sample time tracking application I will demonstrate the use of the following. 1. Using ActiveX controls. 2. Client and Server side validations using VBScript. 3. Practical use of formatDateTime function and DateAdd function. 4. Server side browser detection code. 5. Using ADO to connect to popular databases like MS Access and SQL Server. 6. Using ADO to add records. 7. Implementing ADO Error Handling. For Complete description, download the attached zip file which has code and detailed explanation of the techniques used.<B>Please do not forget to rate my code.</B>

I don't think ActiveX controls work with Netscape. Do you have any recommendations on detecting that the control is not on the client PC and downloading it automaticly.

in html pages fist time in 1997 so its been a while since that exist.
